M-Pro 7 Gun Oil. I’ve found gun oils to be essentially the same. As long as you keep your gun clean and oiled you’ll be fine at the range and for home defense. M-Pro 7 Oil keeps my guns running fine even with 500+ rounds a day in the desert with small sand particles flying around.

Many of us have wanted to thread a barrel at some point. Surprisingly, threading a barrel with a hand die is not difficult and commonly costs only $30 or so in parts, however, the outside diameter (OD) of the barrel must be exactly the correct size in order to thread by hand. For example, 1/2x28 threads (common in AR-pattern rifles) require that the muzzle OD be .4957” , ± .0033”. A gun-barrel separator (or wash tank) is a storage tank which has been modified to allow continuous separation of an incoming oil and water mixture. Wash tanks are usually used in remote locations near the well site to separate oil from water that also comes into the well from the reservoir.
