Oil and natural gas systems encompass wells, gas gathering and processing facilities, storage, and transmission and distribution pipelines. These components are all important aspects of the natural gas cycle—the process of getting natural gas out of the ground and to the end user. The folks at Enverus (formerly DrillingInfo) distributed an interesting analysis recently that reveals a great deal about the story of the domestic U.S. oil and gas industry for 2019. The U.S. oil and gas industry is stronger than it has ever been. Looking forward, we will be producing more, using more, and exporting more. It's a steady drumbeat: more oil, more natural gas. The oil and gas industry developed over the last 200 years to meet an ever-increasing need for fuel. The primary market for oil is transportation energy (fuel for cars, planes, and ships). Natural gas is primarily used for heating, cooking, and increasingly for generating electricity. Vault partners The oil and gas industry is broken down into three main segments: upstream, midstream, and downstream. Upstream These are the firms that search the world for reservoirs of the raw materials and

Oil and gas professionals contend with a turbulent industry that is impacted by many factors including global economies, environmental concerns, and production abilities. While some may be concerned about the future of oil and gas, many have confidence in its continuing need throughout the world for many years to come. "The Upstream sector is the part of the oil and natural gas industry that is responsible for finding crude oil and natural gas deposits, along with producing them. It is also known as the exploration and production or E&P sector. First is an ongoing decline in new discoveries. By the end of 2017, the volume of new oil and gas discoveries, was at its lowest since the early 1950s. To put this into perspective, only 3.5 billion barrels of liquids (crude, condensate, and natural gas liquids) were discovered in 2017, which was enough to meet only 10 percent of demand. The Modern Oil and Gas Industry The modern oil and gas industry was born in the late 19th century. In the early 1800's, merchants built damns that allowed oil to float to the waters' surface in an area within Western Pennsylvania called Oil Creek.
